Cloudy conditions return to SoCal Thursday, but not for long

Southern California will see some cloudy conditions on Thursday, but the sunshine will come back around for the weekend.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Southern California will see some cloudy conditions on Thursday, but the sunshine will come back around for the weekend.

Los Angeles and Orange counties will have some clouds in the morning before the sunshine peeks through and a high of 70. On Friday, temperatures will dip slightly down to 68 degrees during the daytime, making way for a slightly cooler day.

It's going to be a bit cooler in the valleys and Inland Empire as well with some clouds. A high of 70 degrees is expected but then temperatures will drop a bit on Friday with a high of 69.

Beaches will be cloudy with a high of 64 and a surf between 2 to 4 feet. The cooler, cloudier conditions return on Friday along with some morning drizzle in some parts.

Mountains will be sunny and breezy with a high of 66 on Thursday. The night will be chilly with a low of 38.

Deserts will be sunny with a high of 80 on Thursday. If you plan on driving through areas like Palmdale, Lancaster or headed to Las Vegas on Friday, keep an eye out for blowing sand as gusty winds are expected.
