Shayla Girardin
Shayla Girardin is an Emmy award-winning meteorologist and reporter. She comes to ABC7 from our sister station ABC30 in Fresno, where she worked as a weekend weather anchor and reporter.

Shayla is a California native and has lived in the Bay Area, Central Valley and Southern California and is excited to be back home in Southern California.

She started her broadcast career at KOAA News5 in Colorado Springs, where she worked as a morning reporter covering everything from blizzards to breaking news.

Shayla graduated from Pepperdine University with a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and an emphasis in Political Science. During her studies, Shayla also interned at ABC7 with George Pennacchio. She most recently finished her Meteorology studies at Pennsylvania State, where she graduated with a certificate in Weather Forecasting.

Shayla is a coffee enthusiast who loves traveling and spending time with family and her Pomeranian, Elsa.
