Danny Romero
Danny joined ABC7 in 2005. He was born and raised on the streets of East Los Angeles, moving with his family all over the greater L.A. area, including Boyle Heights, Echo Park, Bell, Pico Rivera, Montebello, Bell Gardens, Huntington Park and Whittier.
Danny was hired for his first radio job in Fresno shortly after graduating from high school. In San Diego, he worked weeknights on B-100 FM. He then became a weekend weathercaster for Channel 8. Two years later Danny was hired to be the prime time weathercaster for KCOP in Los Angeles. After seven years and three Emmy awards, Danny was hired to do weather at KNBC.
Danny is involved with many helpful organizations around Southern California. Even before three bouts with cancer, Danny worked with the American Cancer Society, MDA, UCP, March of Dimes, MS Society, Boys and Girls Clubs, The Downtown L.A. Mission and many more.
